SONI RESIDENCE
While ageing temple trees adorned the large plot , and roads bustling with traffic surrounded it , this house for a family of 4 was conceptualized as a screen between the two vistas looking towards the inward open landscape.

The architecture of this house is seen in amalgamation with the interior spaces to do justice to the spaces and their initial conceptualization. The spatial program provides for the living , dining , kitchen, utility and mother's room on the ground level and the upper levels accommodate the master bedroom, the children's room and a study that opens into a large curved terrace.

A design element that stands out is the spiral staircase at the entrance foyer connecting the two levels, with the double height canopy. On the other hand, the living and dining open up into the outdoor landscape.

To incorporate the client's need of well defined spaces, straight clean lines were adopted within the design, while a flexible interior solution was implemented for accommodating and entertaining guests in varied numbers. The colour pallete chosen for this house was in warm brown and off-white tones, with makrana pink marble and gangapur stone as inlay along with Falodi stone from Rajasthan.

Comfort was the underlying theme and a vibrant house interiors was made possible through earthly tones.
