The design greatly influenced by the art, culture and rich heritage of Tanzania, this beautiful property overlooked an ancient church and a spectacular harbor.

The program included designing of 127 rooms in phase 1 and 67 rooms in phase 2 along with the harbor facing and pool facing rooms. It also included redesigning the old reception and the bar. Accompanying this was addition of new spaces such as smaller banquets, conference rooms and restaurants that had to cater to the ever increasing business ventures that took place in the city.

Sourcing local artists to express the wealth of the country, a material palette was carefully put together anchoring the nuances of the past with the modernist approach and aesthetics.
