A 100 ft wide canopy over this house made the challenge even more intense - of comforting a small family in large spaces without them getting lost.

This house comes alive with a mural on the canopy- intended to welcome the owners, delight them, and change with the mood of light. Thus the omni-presence of the canopy grows on you over a period of time.

With the intent of space flowing from outside inwards and vice versa, the large spaces were allowed to have connectivity to smaller ones when the need be, while narrow passages and corridors led to larger vistas of the outside to break the monotony.

Extensive use of contemporary decor and furniture in tropical colors against a simple and stark shell, accompanied by vibrant fabrics and precisely installed artwork was an effort towards creating a balanced living experience.
